IMMIGRATION

If you see any federal activity, call Monarca Rapid Response Line or the Immigrant Defense Network Rapid Response Line.

If you are looking to learn more about how to respond to ICE Raids and want to know your rights, check out upcoming trainings and events from Unidos MN, Comunidades Organizando El Poder Y La Acción Latina (COPAL), or the Minnesota Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC).

MIRAC has developed these know your rights resources.

SHELTER

Call the Hennepin Shelter Hotline at 612-204-8200 if you live in Hennepin County and are over 18 years old or are a family seeking shelter. The hotline is open Monday-Friday 8am-10pm and Saturday-Sunday 1pm-9pm. Callers outside of these times will be connected to the United Way's 2-1-1 line.

TENANTS

HOME Line is a nonprofit Minnesota tenant advocacy organization that provides free legal support. Call 612-728-5767 for free legal advice. You can also visit their website at www.homelinemn.org.

The Minnesota Attorney General's Office provides an in-depth handbook on navigating Landlord-Tenant relationships and the legal duties that each have at different points in the tenancy. The digital handbook is found here.

REPRODUCTIVE CARE

Abortion remains safe, legal, and constitutionally protected in Minnesota.

Our Justice can provide you with funding for your abortion, lodging support, answering insurance questions as well as aftercare support. Learn more and complete their intake form at ourjustice.net.

LGBTQ+ RIGHTS

OutFront Minnesota's Anti-Violence Program assists with cases of anti-LGBTQ+ bias/hate violence, relationship abuse, and sexual assault. Call 800-800-0350, email avp@outfron.org, or visit outfront.org for more information.

TIGERRS provides programing and resources to build solidarity and safety among transgender, intersex, and gender-expansive Minnesotans. You can find their crisis resource page here.

Gender Justice provides resources and information for everyone regardless of gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation. If you are experiencing a legal issue the involves or centers gender inequality, they may be able to provide legal assistance.

FEDERAL ISSUES

If you are seeking help with requesting a passport, Medicare and Medicaid, Social Security, Veterans benefits, or other federal issues, the Office of Congresswoman Ilhan Omar, the Office of Senator Tina Smith, or the Office of Senator Amy Klobuchar can assist you.
